Toward the Light

Two Souls touch -
Fragments of memories,
A thousand petaled lotus unfolding

Its face to the Sun,
Roots embedded deep,
So deep in the murky waters below…

A twilight kiss and we are swimming
In those waters, soft silt rising up around us,
Petals closing in, a soft embrace of faith,

          Patience,

Trust,

A Knowing -
We will unfold, once again, toward the Light.
